Sheriff Gardner Hosts Christmas Dinner for Vital Aging Participants
On December 7th, Sheriff Stephen Gardner hosted the Sheriff’s Christmas Dinner for our wellness center participants. Sheriff Gardner and his staff prepared and served a delicious holiday meal for our seniors. Vital Aging’s staff performed a short "Christmas Choir" skit, seniors played bingo and sang Christmas Carols at the event. Officer Montez Grant with WCSO also sang a beautiful spiritual song for the seniors. Sheriff Gardner addressed the seniors and told them how much of an honor it is to serve them. He also reminded the seniors to stay safe during the holidays and that he and his staff were there to help.
Vital Aging’s board members, Mrs. Jeannette Chambers, Mrs. Silverteen Mitchum and Mr. Abraham Henryhand presented Sheriff Gardner with a gift from Vital Aging in appreciation for the wonderful Christmas dinner. We sincerely thank Sheriff Gardner, who also serves as a board member, and his staff for cherishing and lifting up our seniors in this most special way. The event was enjoyed by all.
